airtropolis / aeronautic series II

AIRTROPOLIS is a photographic interpretation of the urban space of a major international airport. In contrast to Desert Birds (Aeronautic Series I), the focus here is not on the transience of technology, but on the view of active functionality. The continuous movement and constant change of position are signs of our time. Airport metropolises are the hubs of a globalised world, where international connections assume physical form and change becomes visible. AIRTROPOLIS shows details of this complex cosmos, partly factual, partly abstract, and moves freely within its fenced-in territory.
